Sky announce live broadcasts from Windsor and Oval

By Adam McKendry

Two more Danske Bank Premiership games will be shown on Sky Sports as the broadcasting company revealed its scheduling for the next couple of months.

Following on from Crusaders' visit to The Oval to take on Glentoran next Monday, which will be live on Sky Sports Football, the Crues' trip to Windsor Park to face Linfield on Monday 23 October will also be broadcast on the same channel.

Undoubtedly chosen because of the game's significance at the top of the table, the meeting is sure to be a tasty encounter in front of the cameras.

It's a chance for David Healy's men to exact some revenge on their cross-city rivals after two wonder strikes from Jordan Forsythe and Paul Heatley handed Crusaders a 2-1 victory at Seaview earlier this month.

The second new game announced for live broadcast will see Sky return to The Oval for the second time this season as the Glens welcome Ballymena United to Belfast on Monday November 6. The reverse fixture saw Glentoran run out 3-1 winners at the Ballymena Showgrounds recently thanks to goals from Marcus Kane, Curtis Allen and John McGuigan.

Both games will have a 7:45pm kick-off.

• GLENAVON are through to the quarter-finals of the Mid-Ulster Cup after they defeated Rathfriland Rangers 5-1 at Mourneview Park.

Gary Hamilton's side will now meet Armagh City, who received a bye in the first round, in the last eight.
