Gers boss McAlinden is wary of threat posed by unfancied Duns

By Alex Mills

David McAlinden believes his boys will require little motivation for tonight's Toals County Antrim Shield clash with Dundela.

Carrick Rangers turned in their worst performance since McAlinden took charge when they slumped to defeat at the league's basement side Ballinamallard United at the weekend.

"The players have to show a response, they know that," said the Gers boss. "Yes, we'll be favourites as we are the Premier League team but it doesn't mean that our focus will be any less.

"If our attitude is not right, we could end up with egg on our face."
