Northern Ireland Under 21 goalkeeper Brett Long has joined Cliftonville on loan.

Cliftonville have added another goalkeeper to their first team panel - this one on loan from Scottish side Dundee United.

Northern Ireland U21 international Brett Long joins from the Scottish Championship side to add to Brian Neeson, who joined from Carrick Rangers in May.

Long came through the Reds' Football Development Centre at Solitude and has played for Northern Ireland at U15, U16, U17, U19 and U21 level. The 20 year-old originally left Cliftonville for Motherwell in 2013 and joined United last season.

“We are delighted to add Brett to our squad," said boss Barry Gray. “He is an outstanding young goalkeeper and will bring additional strength to our panel. We are grateful for the assistance of Dundee United in facilitating his loan to Cliftonville. Brett will join the team training this evening and will be in the squad for Saturday’s game at Lisbellaw."
