Goalkeeper joins as new Cliftonville boss makes first signing

New Cliftonville manager Barry Gray has unveiled his first signing at Solitude.

Goalkeeper Brian 'Bam' Neeson has signed a pre-contract agreement, the club announced on Monday afternoon.

The 27 year-old will make his move when his Carrick Rangers contract expires this summer.

Neeson has earn plaudits from across the league while helping Carrick to twice stave off relegation from the top division, most recently in last week's play-off victory over Championship runners-up Institute. The former GAA star also previously played for Knockbreda and Larne.

Barry Gray took over the reigns at Solitude last week after Gerard Lyttle left to join Sligo Rovers.

Meanwhile, former Linfield goalkeeper Alan Blayney has signed for Championship winners Warrenpoint. He joins Darren Murray, Sean Mackle and Matthew Parker in arriving at the County Down club as manager Matthew Tipton equips his squad for life in the Danske Bank Premiership.
