The 20-year-old follows Ronan Doherty and Conor McDermott to Solitude ahead of the new 2019/20 Danske Bank Premiership season.

A statement on Cliftonvillefc.net read "Cliftonville Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Ronan Wilson. The midfielder is currently a Sports Science student at the Ulster University's Jordanstown campus and manager Paddy McLaughlin is very happy to add him to the squad".

The Reds take on Welsh Premier League side Barry Town in the Preliminary round of the UEFA Europa League with the first leg next Thursday June 27 in Wales before the home leg takes place on July 4 at Solitude.

Meanwhile Stute midfielder Aaron Jarvis has committed his future to the club despite being linked with a move to North Belfast to link up with his former manager McLaughlin at Cliftonville.
