Coleraine 2 Donegal Celtic 0

lu victim Leon Knight should return for Coleraine's clash with champions Linfield on Saturday.

The former Brighton striker was forced to sit out the Bannsiders' victory over Donegal Celtic but manager Oran Kearney is counting on his livewire forward to be back in contention.

Goals either side of half-time — courtesy of former Linfield striker Shane Jennings and defender Johnny Black's penalty — secured the points as Coleraine replaced DC as leaders of the pack chasing the Blues and Portadown at the top of the Carling Premiership.

“Perhaps we missed Leon's finishing prowess,” admitted boss Kearney afterwards.

“We always looked comfortable but we had to be patient.”

“This wasn't our best performance in terms of free flowing football but it was always going to be more about the result for me,” he admitted.
