Coleraine boss Oran Kearney has expressed his joy at securing the services of former Derry City and York City frontman David McDaid.

The 23-year-old agreed terms and trained with his new team-mates on Tuesday night.

"Davy had several good offers but he wanted to come here which is a major boost for us," said Kearney. "There's no doubt about it this is as big a signing I've made since I've come to the club.

"Davy is young but he has bags of experience, including playing in Europe for Derry last season when he scored a great goal away at Trabzonspor. He has a great pedigree who will bring so much to us. I'm over the moon."

Coleraine may also be tempted to move for Derry City midfielder Ruaidhrí Higgins, who has not been offered a new contract by the club.

Meanwhile, the NI Football League has teamed up with BragBet as its Official Betting Partner in a two and a half year deal.

BragBet, which is available on desktop and mobile, is the world's first team betting service allowing groups of friends the opportunity to form a team and bet together against the bookmaker as a syndicate.

Graeme Beggs, NI Football League Marketing and Communication Manager, said: "They are a young and incredibly exciting company who, in our opinion, could revolutionise the way fans interact with each other by combining social media and betting in the one platform."
