Coleraine handed Glenavon a four-goal hammering at Mourneview Park to move into into third spot in the Danske Bank Premiership.

Stephen Lowry's quick-fire double either side of the break put them on their way to a second successive league win on their travels.

The icing on the cake was provided by Ben Doherty who rolled home a penalty with 20 minutes to go.

And in the dying moments they made it 4-0 when substitute Nedas Maciulaitis made it a debut to remember to pile on the misery for Gary Hamilton's side.

At the Belfast Loughshore Arena, Ballymena United edged out Carrick Rangers 1-0 with Jude Winchester's close range second half finish settling the contest.

Jonny Addis was sent off for the visitors but David Jeffrey's side did enough to secure the victory.
