Coleraine boss Oran Kearney wants a response from his wounded Bannsiders

By Alex Mills

Coleraine boss Oran Kearney admits his team will be out to restore battered pride when they face FK Haugesund at the Showgrounds tonight.

The Bannsiders were on the receiving end of a seven goal walloping in Norway last week and Kearney (above) is demanding a big improvement from his battered troops.

"The boys were hurt after last week's result, their pride took a huge dent," said Kearney. "To be honest, it was a bit of an eye opener for all of us.

"The big reward for us was getting to Europe. It's a learning curve for most of the guys, especially the younger members of the squad. They'll learn a heck of a lot competing in this environment and it will stand them in good stead for the remainder of the season."
