Coleraine striker faces long spell out after nightmare ligament tear

By Gareth Hanna

Coleraine striker Eoin Bradley is set to miss a chunk of the season with a torn cruciate ligament.

The 33 year-old hasn't played since he was substituted in the Bannsiders' victory over Ballymena last month and on Monday revealed that scan results showed a tear in his posterior cruciate ligament.

The news is the second injury blow this week to the Danske Bank Premiership leaders' hopes after midfielder Brad Lyons suffered two fractured cheekbones during Saturday's win over Linfield.

The game ended in controversy as Linfield felt striker Jamie McGonigle's winner didn't cross the line. Liverpool legend Luis Garcia didn't agree.
