Coleraine last night extended their lead at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership to eight points as they overcame a dogged Ballinamallard United at the Showgrounds.
An own goal from Mallards Colm McLoughlin, added to Joe McCready's strike earned Oran Kearney's men all three points.
Matthew Smyth pulled a late goal back for the Mallards, but Coleraine held on ahead of the top-two clash against Glenavon at Mourneview Park on Saturday.
Relieved Coleraine manager Oran Kearney said: "People write off teams like Ballinamallard due to their league position, but we knew it would be tricky.
"I probably spent more time preparing for this game as I have for the last three.
"Every three points is massive and it is great to get the result."
