Town chief vows to defy the critics in safety bid
Coleraine 3 Warrenpoint Town 0
Warrenpoint Town boss Stephen McDonnell insists he will ignore the 'outside world' in a bid to turn around the club's fortunes.
The 'Point were defeated for a ninth time this season and remain rooted to the bottom of the table as a brace from Ben Doherty and Eoin Bradley's free-kick sealed a 3-0 win for in-form Coleraine.
McDonnell was frustrated with Keith Kennedy's decision to point to the spot on 22 minutes as Danny Wallace was adjudged to have brought down Nedas Maciuliaitis.
"It would have been nice to get something today but, unfortunately, it wasn't the case," said McDonnell.
"You can't listen to the outside world because you'd go mad.
"It is a great experience, I'm 27-years-old and we're bottom of the league and if we stay up, what an experience it will be.
"I think the first penalty is very, very soft and, unfortunately, the first goal in football is a big one in terms of momentum and teams kicking on.

"I think we played well as crazy as that may sound after a 3-0 defeat. Both of the sides weren't pretty, it was ugly enough but the pitch does not allow for football to be played, that is for sure.
"We created half-a-dozen chances and didn't take any - that is the only concerning part."
