We've all cheated the club: Coleraine boss fumes after Institute defeat
Institute 1 Coleraine 0
Coleraine manager Rodney McAree was angry with his side's terrible display at Institute.
The Bannsiders boss felt his players cheated supporters with what he described as an unacceptable performance.
"There were some strong words at the end, but I think they were more honest words," he said.
"I think whenever players -and myself, more importantly, as the leader of the team - get paid a wage, you have to earn it. You have to earn your money and that hasn't happened.
"From my point of view, I feel as if we've all cheated the club, we've all cheated the supporters, and we've put in a level of a performance which is unacceptable."
When questioned if he felt some of his players had one eye on next week's Irish Cup semi-final tie against Crusaders, he warned: "I think players need to look after now instead of looking forward to next week, because next week might not happen for some of them."
Institute caretaker manager Kevin Doherty was thrilled to see his players make mathematically sure of safety.
"We achieved our Premiership status before the split, which is a fantastic achievement," he explained.
"People were questioning me why was I coming back in, results like that is why.
"I know what's in our dressing room and I'm absolutely delighted for the boys. They have not got the credit for what has happened over the season."
