Glentoran will travel to Solitude to take on Cliftonville in the County Antrim Shield semi-finals.

That means Ballymena United will host H&W Welders at the Showgrounds, with both matches due to be played on Wednesday, November 20.

"We're just glad to be there, to be honest," said Welders boss Colin McIlwaine.

"I would be very friendly with Big Davey. We know each other quite well and will be nice to go toe-to-toe with him. He's one of the best managers the Irish League has ever seen. He'll be happy with that draw and see this as their opportunity for silverware this season but cup football can be funny and who knows?"

The Welders have seen off Carrick Rangers and Ards so far in this season's competition, while United have beaten Dundela and Crusaders.

Glentoran will look to continue their run, having beaten Ballyclare and Larne earlier in the competition.

The Glens have not appeared in the final of the tournament since they lost to Cliftonville in 2012.
