Crusaders manager Stephen Baxter hailed his comeback kids after the race for the title took another twist on a night of thrilling drama in the Danske Bank Premiership.

The Crues, who lost 2-1 to Linfield at Seaview on Saturday, swept Ards aside 4-2 and Linfield's surprise 1-0 defeat to Coleraine at Windsor Park fired the Shore Road men seven points clear at the summit.

"I thought we were absolutely magnificent," said Baxter, whose side fought back from 2-0 down at the Bangor Fuels Arena. "We were excellent tonight."

Jordan Allan's goal stunned Linfield at Windsor Park where Jimmy Callacher was sent off while Glenavon won a seven-goal thriller at Ballymena United and Glentoran thumped Portadown 5-0 at Shamrock Park.
