Crusaders level points with Glenavon at Seaview

Crusaders moved level on points with Glenavon in the Danske Bank Premiership after netting a 2-0 win over Ballinamallard United at Seaview.

Coleraine are five points clear of their closest rivals and will look to maintain their unbeaten run at home to Glentoran on Saturday.

The Crues have struggled to make Seaview a fortress this season, picking up only eight points out of a possible 18 going into this one but Matthew Snoddy's second half double sunk the men from Fermanagh.

Visiting goalkeeper Richard Brush was in inspired form to shut out the Crues in the opening half as the Mallards, lifted by their first Premiership win last weekend when Carrick Rangers were overcome 2-0, showed a resilient streak.

But Stephen Baxter's side kept knocking on the door and substitute Snoddy made an instant impact, flicking the ball home on 65 minutes.

Midfielder Snoddy found the net again in the final minute to make it back to back league wins after the impressive 5-2 victory at Linfield on Monday.

Meanwhile, Derry City ended their Airtricity Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to St Pat's Athletic.
