Darren Murray facing an uncertain Crusaders future after missing training

By Graham Luney

Darren Murray's absence from the Crusaders team is set to continue after the striker failed to attend training this week.

Crues boss Stephen Baxter had to make a late change to his team-sheet last weekend when Murray didn't arrive at Seaview for the Premiership clash with Glenavon.

The north Belfast side went on to draw the game 1-1 and afterwards Baxter said he had no idea why Murray didn't show at Seaview.

It's understood that Crusaders are dealing with the matter and are not prepared to discuss it further at this stage.

Despite agreeing a three and a half year contract with the club at the end of January, Murray's future at Crusaders must now be uncertain.

The Crues host Linfield today and only a superior goal difference is keeping them ahead of Coleraine in the title race with three games left.
