Oxford move a graduation for ace Whyte
Gavin Whyte has vowed to become an even more formidable player after sealing a move to League One side Oxford United.
The Crusaders winger was being tracked by several clubs but the side managed by Karl Robinson won the sprint for his signature.
Whyte scooped all the Player of the Year awards after helping the Crues regain the Danske Bank Premiership title and this move offers him the opportunity to thrive in the full-time game and stay in the thoughts of Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill.
"Hopefully I can become an even better player and really enjoy my time there," said the 22-year-old. "I'm feeling emotional because the Crues mean a lot to me but this is a fantastic opportunity.
"Of course it's a big move for me coming over, but I needed to do that to keep progressing."
The 22-year-old has agreed a three-year deal with United.
