Sean O'Neill on hand to train future crop of keepers

By Frank Brownlow

Crusaders netminder Sean O'Neill is set to host a three-day training camp for budding goalkeepers at Seaview.

The Just4Keepers event starts on Monday with the Crues ace just one of the coaches on hand to pass on expertise.

The Seaview No1 has been involved with the Just4Keepers Academy for the past couple of years and has seen many young keepers make great improvements.

"It's fantastic to see how quickly young keepers progress with regular training," he said.

"It still amazes me how few of them actually receive training at their clubs and it's great to be part of a team that provides specific sessions to help them improve as goalkeepers.

"At Just4Keepers we are passionate about pushing them on to be the best they can be as well as ensuring they have plenty of fun along the way," he added.

The camp will cater for age groups 9-12, 13-15 and 16 upwards and will begin at 10.30am each day until 2.30pm.

The fee for full camp is £38 or £15 per day. Club discount offers are also available on request. Limited places are available and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Anyone registered in advance of noon on August 23 will also be entered into a draw to win a top of the range pair of J4K Pro Gloves and three free training sessions with the J4K academy.

To register interest simply email name, age and club to or text details to 07927 967 111.
