Having been at the last Old Firm game, I find it a little hard to believe that Rangers are now 10 points clear of Celtic in the SPL title race.
In the match at Parkhead between the sides Celtic should have won at a canter.
Only drawing 1-1 against Rangers in that game has clearly had a negative impact on the Bhoys at home because at the moment they are having a nightmare at Parkhead.
The 2-1 defeat to Hibs in midweek will have been a really tough one to take, especially with Rangers winning at St Mirren.
I actually think that Celtic have the slightly better group of players, but they have no top quality finishers in their side like Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller and even Nacho Novo, who scored on Wednesday.
The other big advantage for Rangers is that they have Steve Davis. He proved once again in the St Mirren game just what a classy footballer he is. He scores goals, creates goals and generally looks a cut above.
I’m sure Premier League clubs are watching him. Maybe they won’t move now, but in the summer they will definitely come calling. Before then he’ll have helped the Gers to another title.
