Derry have winning feeling again after fresh faces floor Limerick
Derry City 2 Limerick 1
Derry City got back to winning ways ahead of next week's Europa League tie with Dinamo Minsk by beating a spirited Limerick side at the Brandywell.
It was a pleasing night for boss Kenny Shiels who watched two of his new signings, Aaron Splaine and Ally Roy, find the net.
Limerick took the lead on 35 minutes when Connor Ellis fired the ball past Doherty.
But the lead lasted just 60 seconds as Splaine took a touch before curling a brilliant effort past Tommy Holland.
Derry needed just 20 seconds of the second half to grab the winner. Aaron McEneff was the man at the heart of the goal as he burst into the Limerick area before pulling the ball back across the goal for Roy to hammer home.
