Dungannon Swifts picked up a big three points against a battling Institute side.

After Joe McCready's second half penalty had cancelled out Kris Lowe's first half goal, the Swifts netted twice in quick succession after the hour mark thanks to goals from Ryan Waide and Seanan Clucas, to seal the points, despite Ryan Morrow's late goal.

'Stute brought in Colm McLaughlin, Aaron Jarvis and Stephen Curry to their starting line-up, with Evan Tweed and Brendan McLaughlin amongst the substitutes and Jamie Dunne missing out completely, as caretaker boss Paul McLaughlin changed things up from their opening day loss at Linfield.

As for Kris Lindsay he kept faith with the team which battled back to earn a point against Ballymena United on the opening weekend.

Caolin Coyle was in the thick of the action on 16 minutes when his delicious right wing centre found an unmarked Lowe and the midfielder's close range header gave 'Stute keeper Marty Gallagher no chance.

Institute deservedly drew level on 48 minutes again from the penalty spot, after Curry was pulled down inside the box by Michael Carvill and McCready slotted home the resulting spot-kick, placing the ball into the bottom left hand corner.

Waide restored Swifts' lead on 61 minutes in superb style, as he volleyed home from acute angle.

Gallagher was left helpless as Seanan Clucas' made no mistake rising well to head home Carville's resulting corner.

In stoppage time Jake Morrow pulled a goal back as his sub made no mistake.
