Ambitious Premiership new boys Larne have made former Arsenal youngster Mark Randall their first summer addition.

Midfielder Randall, once heralded by Arsene Wenger as the club's next big thing, made first-team appearances in the Champions League and Carling Cup before leaving in 2011. Since then he has racked up Football League experience at Chesterfield, Newport and Crawley.

"I spent a week here before the end of last season training and I really enjoyed it," he said.

"It was a great environment, and after speaking to the gaffer and Kenny Bruce I could see the journey the club have been on and what they want to do. I'm excited to get started and see what this first season back in the Premiership will bring.

"I've seen some of the games on TV and there is probably a physical element to it, but playing in League 1 and League 2 will probably stand me in good stead, so I'm looking forward to it.

"It's about trying to finish as high as we possibly can. It would be great to win it, we don't know what's going to happen but we're going into it with confidence.

"We'll give everything for the manager."
