Glenavon double: Next two Irish League games confirmed for live BBC broadcast
Glenavon will play in both of the next two Danske Bank Premiership fixtures to be broadcast live on BBC Two NI.
As the Premiership title race hots up, the BBC cameras will be present as reigning champions Crusaders will host Glenavon at Seaview on Friday, February 22 (kick-off: 7.45pm). Interestingly, that game follows just four days after the Lurgan Blues travel to face Glentoran, live on Sky Sports.
Glenavon then take on league leaders Linfield at Mourneview Park, on Friday, March 8, that game also now scheduled for broadcast on BBC.
Ahead of tomorrow's clash between the two Belfast sides, Linfield are three points clear of Crusaders, as well as Ballymena, at the top of the league table. Glenavon, meanwhile, are 10 points off the top in fourth place but striker Andrew Mitchell isn't giving up on the title just yet.
Back in September, the BBC announced a deal to broadcast ten Premiership games live on TV this season as well as three Irish Cup ties.
Sky Sports also broadcast five Irish League games a season, as well as the Bet McLean League Cup final.
