Glentoran have dived into the January transfer market with a sensational double swoop for Glenavon duo Andrew Mitchell and Caolan Marron.
Defender Marron (21) is the reigning Young Player of the Year and has established himself as one of the prime centre-backs in the Danske Bank Premiership.
Meanwhile, Mitchell (25) is one of the top marksmen in the league and was the top scorer in 2016-17 when with Dungannon Swifts.
It's another big signal of intent from The Oval outfit, who are currently joint top of the table alongside bitter rivals Linfield.
"These are two of the best young players in the league and we're very happy to have signed them. Paul Millar has worked closely with both lads over the course of their careers at Glenavon and he knows how much they can bring to Glentoran in the months and years ahead," said Glentoran boss Mick McDermott.
"We already have an excellent squad here that has made us very competitive, but if we're to move to the next stage of our climb it's important that we take the opportunity to strengthen whenever players of the right calibre and character become available."
As part of the deal, Glentoran defender Calum Birney will move in the opposite direction, ending an eight-year association with the Belfast club.
There was a third departure from Mourneview Park last night as well, with striker Stephen Murray leaving to join Championship side Portadown.
