The money is not there: Glentoran boss fumes after 'embarrassing' Boxing Day defeat
Glentoran boss Ronnie McFall has warned supporters not to expect any January signings despite the club's poor form.
The Glens are only five points off the relegation play-off place after a 4-0 demolition at the hands of rivals Linfield.
Speaking after his side extended their winless run to eight games, manager McFall didn't hold back.
"It is an embarrassing day, that's all you can say," he told BBC Sport.
"t goes without saying that the club is well short of quality players to get them back to where they want to be, no question about that. I can't see it (RE January signings), the money just is not there.
"We are well short as regards getting back to our former glories.
"At the end of the day they (the players) have got to take pride in wearing the jersey and you have got to question are they good enough to wear the red, green and black. Today has shown that a lot of them are not, it is just as simple as that."
