Irish Cup fifth round draw in full: Crusaders to face Glentoran while Rosemount Rec handed 'fairy-tale' tie

By Gareth Hanna

It's one of the biggest days in the Irish League calendar - Tennent's Irish Cup fifth round draw day with a couple of big ties set for January 5.

Crusaders will host Glentoran in the headline tie while Glenavon will host Rosemount Rec, the lowest team left in the competition. The Greyabbey side are sitting second bottom of Division 1C, the fourth tier of the Amateur League. They've seen off Islandmagee, Newtowne and Annagh United to reach the fifth round and their chairman called the trip to Mourneview a 'fairytale'.

Holders Coleraine host H&W Welders while Linfield welcome Ballyclare Comrades. Table-topping Ballymena United will go to Championship high-flyers Dundela.

The 24 senior clubs from the Irish League's top two divisions enter the competition alongside the eight teams to progress from round four.
