Irish League Round Up: Linfield back on top after win on Brandywell return
Linfield returned to the top of the Irish Premiership on Saturday after an emphatic victory over Institute in the early kickoff.
The Blues returned to the Brandywell for the first time in nearly 50 years and the game passed off without incident.
Institute opened the scoring through talisman Michael McCrudden before Niall Quinn equalised before half-time.
They took the lead with a disputed goal from Andrew Waterworth before Kirk Millar grabbed a third.
Waterworth completed the rout in the 86th minute giving his side a 4-1 win.
Crusaders are up to fourth after defeating Glenavon 3-0 at Seaview.
Paul Heatley opened the scoring before Jordan Owens added two to secure victory.
