Footballers in Northern Ireland are finally going to have a new Players’ Union to call upon to help them with various issues in the game.

The Belfast Telegraph understands that a modern day version of the ‘Professional Football Association (PFA) Northern Ireland’ is being set up here to promote, advise and provide guidance for current and former players, with ex-Linfield, Crusaders and Dungannon Swifts forward Michael Carvill at the helm.
