Klopp all set to move for NI star Lewis but may have to hang on
Northern Ireland full-back Jamal Lewis is attracting the attention of Jurgen Klopp's world champions with his performances in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old has been impressing in his first top tier campaign after helping Norwich City to promotion last season.
His current side are rock bottom of the table, five points adrift, but Lewis might not stick around to complete an unlikely survival bid.
Instead, he could end the campaign as a champion of England, with runaway league leaders Liverpool understood to be monitoring his progress, along with that of Norwich team-mate Emi Buendia.
While it is fanciful that Norwich boss Daniel Farke would sanction the departure of a prized asset mid-season, it is perhaps more likely that Klopp could make his move in the summer as they look for back-up to first-choice left-back Andy Robertson.
Other Northern Ireland players that could be on the move this month include Liam Boyce (Burton to Hearts) and free agent Kyle Lafferty.
The Jambos tried to sign Boyce following a prolific spell at Ross County, but they lost out to Burton, who paid a club transfer record £500,000 back in 2017.

Brewers manager Nigel Clough wants to offer the player a new contract in the summer which will hasten Hearts' actions.
Boyce has scored 22 goals in 76 games at Burton while he claimed 48 goals in 99 games for County.
