Blues have sights on a terrific treble: Smyth

By Graham Luney

Linfield's Irish Cup hero Paul Smyth says the Blues can catch Crusaders in the title race and finish the season with three trophies.

The County Antrim Shield holders are seven points behind the champions with eight Premiership games left and on Saturday they dumped the Crues out of the Tennent's Irish Cup and will now face Dungannon Swifts in the semi-finals. Winger Smyth said: "We will challenge Crusaders like we did on Saturday and I'm sure we will catch them. It's only seven points. Last year there was a gap of about 14 points brought back to two so there is no reason why we can't do it. We have the players and the capability and the strength in the squad to do it.

"The double, even treble, is still on and we will challenge for every trophy - we have a good mentality to push on and win things."
