Brown keen to return and rock Linfield

By Graham Luney

Former Linfield youngster Danny Brown will return to Windsor Park today hoping to celebrate one of the biggest ever Irish Cup shocks.

The Glebe Rangers ace spent his early teenage years winning trophies with the Blues' youth teams before moving on to Ballymoney United, but now he's hoping the Ballymena and Provincial League side can give Linfield boss David Healy the mother of all headaches.

Linfield's title defence has failed to take off, placing even more importance on the glittering prize they won last May, but Brown says the Ballymoney boys are plotting a "miracle victory".

"I played youth football at Linfield from the age of 11 to 16 with players including Adam Salley, Brad Lyons and Jonathan Smith," said the 20-year-old.

"It was a great learning curve because sides raised their game against us, and we will do that with a very young team. There is no pressure on us, we will work hard and be as professional as we can."
