Fake News: Linfield react to mock website story reporting David Healy's departure
Linfield have failed to qualify for major European competition for the first time in 15 years.
And if you want to count an Intertoto Cup place that the club rejected, then it's 21 seasons since the Blues last came up short in the race for European football.
At the final whistle last night, fans across the Irish League were casting a thought as to what the ramifications of the defeat to Glentoran might be for Blues boss David Healy.
And then many supporters read wide-eyed a statement, which looked pretty convincingly like a screenshot from the Linfieldfc.com website:

But the actual Linfield website was quick to respond and clear up any confusion, even if the statement below has since been removed:
Judging from his comments after last night's game, Healy has no intention of going anywhere and is already planning a reshuffle of his playing pack:
