Linfield are through to the third qualifying round of the Europa League after a big win at Windsor to see off Faroe Islands' HB Torshavn.

The Blues will now take on FK Sutjeska, travelling to Montenegro for the first leg next Thursday (August 8) before hosting the return game on Tuesday, August 13.

The victory takes Linfield's European prize money this season to €1.08m.

Having earned a 2-2 away draw in last week's first leg, Linfield were in the box-seat and put one foot into the next round when Andy Waterworth found the net on 20 minutes.

Man of the match Joel Cooper had raced through and when he was brought down, the referee pointed to the spot. Having seen an earlier one-on-one saved, Waterworth wasn't going to miss another chance, converting the spot-kick.

It's the striker's seventh European goal for the Blues, stretching his lead in the club's European goal-scoring records.

Now with Sutjeska in their sights, the Blues will see the draw as a big opportunity to reach the play-off round, which is the final hurdle to sealing a historic place in the Europa League group stages.

Who are FK Sutjeska?

They are the reigning Montenegrin champions, having won the league by nine clear points last season. It's their third title in six seasons.

Sutjeska saw off Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League this season but were then knocked out by APOEL 4-0 on aggregate and so drop to the Europa League to face Linfield. They are ranked 319th in Europe, just 25 ahead of Linfield.

This is the first time Sutjeska have ever made it past the second qualifying round of any European competition.
