Linfield mourn loss of Frank Taylor

Linfield Football Club has been left shocked and saddened by the sudden death of board member Frank Taylor.

The club director and Ticketing Committee Chairman passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon.

Frank, who was a loyal volunteer at the Windsor Superstore, was at the international venue on Tuesday evening at a Board of Directors meeting and was continuing to address ticketing issues.

A Blues statement read: "It is with shock, sorrow and great sadness that Linfield FC reports the sudden passing this afternoon of Director and Ticketing Committee Chairman Frank Taylor.

"Frank will be known to every supporter who has frequented the Windsor Superstore where he has been a volunteer and loyal servant of Linfield FC for many years.

"The sad news of his passing has come as an enormous shock to his fellow Directors and the Superstore and ground staff with whom he worked closely and who all held him in the highest esteem.

"The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Linfield are with Frankie's daughter Julie who was often in the Windsor Superstore with him and his sons Craig and Paul.

"Frankie will be an enormous loss to his family, his friends, the local Village community and his beloved Linfield Football Club.

"The sympathy and condolences of everyone at Linfield are with the Taylor family circle on this incredibly sad day."

The Linfield family is also mourning the loss of the great Alex Russell who passed away on Monday.
