Meeting called over Co Antrim Shield ticket row

The County Antrim FA will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow night to ratify ticket arrangements for next month's Co Antrim Shield final.

The meeting has been called in the wake of Linfield announcing that they were refusing to sell tickets for the match against Crusaders at the Oval on Wednesday, December 4.

The Blues have taken the stance in protest at the decision to make the final all-ticket as they feel there is no need for the match to be given such status.

A club statement said: "The Linfield Board believes that the ticketing of this game is unnecessary and unjustifiable."

Crusaders, meanwhile, are continuing to sell their allocation of tickets for the final to supporters.

They have called for fans wanting to buy tickets to do so as soon as possible from the club and other outlets.

Biting Back: Crowd safety anywhere is paramount but there needs to be a level playing field
