From Milk Cup star to Milk Cup coach and still only 22 — that's Newry man Paul McCrink.
Paul scored for Northern Ireland in a memorable 2-0 win over Brazil in the 2005 Elite competition but missed out on a medal in a 4-2 final defeat by USA. Now he is back as coach to Dundalk Schoolboys in the junior section, along with fellow Newry man and Spurs scout Martin McGuigan.
“Not many can say they played and coached at the Milk Cup. It's a fantastic achievement by Paul,” insisted Martin as the pair remained on course for more Milk Cup glory in a 1-0 quarter-final victory over Watford last night.
