Newry City stay bottom after Coleraine hit four at the Showgrounds
Newry City 1-4 Coleraine
Newry City remain rooted to the foot of the Danske Bank Premiership after Coleraine ran out 4-1 winners at the Showgrounds on Friday evening.
Dean Shiels put the Bannsiders ahead just before the half-hour mark and the hosts' cause was not helped when Dale Montgomery was dismissed for a second booking before the break.
Newry did get back on level terms through Tiaran Rushe but Coleraine eventually regained the lead when Cormac Burke followed up to net his first goal for the club after Jamie Glackin's shot had been saved.
A chip from Eoin Bradley took away any nerves from the travelling support on 77 minutes and James McLaughlin got in on the scoring in the final minute.
The result moves Coleraine level on points with fifth-placed Cliftonville but having played a game more.
Newry City stay a point behind Ards, who host Warrenpoint Town on Saturday.
