Poll: Are there too many Irish League fixtures over the Christmas period?

The Irish League's festive schedule has come under the spotlight this week after David Healy questioned packed fixture list.

The 12 Danske Bank Premiership clubs face having to play four times in little over a week across the Christmas period. And the Linfield manager hit out at as the holidays draw closer.

"These guys get a week or two weeks off for Christmas and new year and they're being pummelled to play football four times in nine days - madness," he said.

Eight teams, including the Blues, play on December 23 before a full round of the traditional and much-loved derby matches on Boxing Day. A third set of games is squeezed in on December 30 ahead of a fourth batch on January 1 and 2.
