Rodney McAree will be unveiled as the new Coleraine manager tonight.
The Bannsiders board has moved swiftly to convince the Dungannon Swifts boss to accept a new challenge in the north west.
McAree will pick up the baton left by Oran Kearney, who takes charge of St Mirren for the first time tonight in a Scottish Premiership clash at home to Brendan Rodgers' Celtic.
The 44-year-old, who guided the Swifts to their first senior trophy last season when the Tyrone side lifted the League Cup, has been handed a full-time role and the challenge of winning major silverware, including a first league title since the club's only triumph in 1974.
McAree rejected Glentoran's advances earlier this year but the Coleraine offer was too good to turn down.
