Bangor boss Garth Scates has praised talented wide-man Jordan Forsythe ahead of tomorrow's Belfast Telegraph Championship One clash with Loughgall.

Forsythe scored a hat-trick in Bangor's 4-1 win over Harland & Wolff Welders in the League Cup on Tuesday night.

Scates said: "Jordan has been excellent this season. He's got plenty of ability but his work rate has improved as well. Sometimes we have to get on to him about it, but at the moment he is backing helping his defenders and waiting for the ball in attack.

"It's pleasing and at the end of the day it's down to attitude."

If the Seasiders can beat Loughgall (2pm) at Clandeboye Park then they will leapfrog the Welders and take top spot in the Championship.

The Bangor manager said: "Loughgall have been going very well and our lads are likely to be tired after tough games against Ballyclare and the Welders."

After a week's break Carrick Rangers return to league action with a difficult trip to New Grosvenor to face Lisburn Distillery.

Fourth placed Ards have a good opportunity to keep the pressure on the top three. They travel to Newforge to face basement club PSNI. Elsewhere, Dergview host Knockbreda and Dundela take on Donegal Celtic.
