Spike strengthens hand with McCaul signature

Ballymena United have signed Brian McCaul on a one-year contract.

The 24-year-old midfielder, formerly with Glenavon, joins Glenn Ferguson's table-toppers where he will face a difficult battle to break into the unbeaten Sky Blues side.

Meanwhile, the draw has taken place for the first round of the Co. Antrim Shield, sponsored by Toals Bookmakers.

Holders Linfield have been drawn at home to face Dundela at Windsor Park on Tuesday, September 23.
