Carrick Rangers fans have voted wide-man Aaron Harmon as their Player of the Month for August. With a raft of new players arriving at Taylor's Avenue, old boy Harmon has managed to shine for Michael Hughes' team.

Dergview have signed Gary Liggett from Ballinamallard United. The defender won the Belfast Telegraph Championship with Ballinamallard in 2012 and won the Reserve League with the Mallards last season.

PSNI's game against Armagh City on Saturday was postponed due to a bereavement within the Newforge club. The two Belfast Telegraph Championship Two clubs are hoping to rearrange the outstanding fixture as soon as possible.

Armagh City will play their first game on Holm Park's new 3G pitch on Saturday. City face Lurgan Celtic on the new surface in Saturday's Bob Radcliffe Cup tie at 2.30pm. Armagh City chairman Philip Johnston said: "I'd like to thank both SportNI and Armagh City Council for all their help."

Wakehurst full back Arron Lemon has left the club for Welsh Premier League outfit Aberystwyth Town. The former Larne player swapped Ballymena for Wales to peruse a career in teaching. He is currently studying his vocation at Aberystwyth University.

Belfast Telegraph Championship sides excelled in the last round of the Steel & Sons Cup. The 15 remaining Championship clubs scored 56 goals between them, with only three sides going out of the competition. Carrick Rangers, Sport & Leisure and Chimney Corner were the only sides who lost.
