Championship: Around the grounds

Queen's University have a trip to The Oval to look forward too. The Belfast Telegraph Championship Two side will play Ballymena United in the Irish Cup semi-final at the East Belfast venue on Saturday 5 April at 3pm. Queen's are the first team from outside the top two division to reach the last four of the Irish Cup since Killyleagh YC in 2001.

NIFL have released an update Belfast Telegraph Championship fixture list, with a number of outstanding games re-arranged. If you log on to nifootballeague.com and click on the fixtures tab, you'll be able to see all the latest information on your club.

Larne have brought their derby game against Ballyclare Comrades forward a day. David McAlinden's men will take on Eddie Hill's side at Inver Park on Friday night (7.45pm) at Inver Park, with the home side hoping to attract a few extra fans to the game.

Carrick Rangers defender Ciaran Donaghy won the Spirit of '76 Supporters Club player of the month award for February. Donaghy has been in fine form for Carrick, defending well and even grabbing a goal against Limavady United.

Lisburn Distillery duo Reece Kane and Daniel Wilson have recently been on trial with SPL club Dundee United. Goalkeeper Kane won the man of the match award as United's Under 19s beat Hibs 3-0. Wilson missed the game due to a hamstring injury. Both will return to Tannadice for a further trial later this year.
