Down Area Winter Football League round-up December 22

In the DAWFL Premier Division Moat Park Rangers won 4-2 at home over Willowfield Parish and continue to hold the top spot. Moat Park, who have only lost one game this season, have also progressed to the semi-finals of the Billy Allen Memorial Shield.

Greenwell Star won 5-3 at home against the 8th OB. Greenwell, last year's champions and currently in third place with games in hand, pose a serious threat to Moat Park's domination and could be their opponents in the semi's of the Billy Allen.

The Castlereagh Colts won 8-3 away to Oakfield Breda, who are stuck in the bottom two just above Clandeboye YM. Clandeboye YM are yet to earn a single point this season.

In 1A, North Down remain top of the table thanks to a 2-1 away win over Stranmillis 37th OB, who remain in the bottom two. Bangor Swifts III, in second place, won 5-2 away over the 43rd OB, who have struggled this season. Queens Grads III won 5-3 at home over Bangor Rangers III who are back to back in the middle of the pack.
