Down Area Winter Football League round-up, November 14

It was another weekend severely affected by the weather, so well done to those teams that managed to get their games on.

In the Premier Division, it's still tight at the top with Greenwell Star and Moat Park Rangers matching each other's results and maintaining their unbeaten starts to the season. Greenwell travelled to play last year's Division 1 champions 3rd Bangor, and secured a 3-0 win, while Moat Park had a more comfortable home win, beating Vision Athletic 6-1. Comber Young Men moved up to third place, following a 5-1 win over 8th OB. Game of the day must surely have been between Bangor Rangers III and North Down, who shared the points in a ten-goal thriller.

In Division 1, Agape maintained their unbeaten start to the league, as they comfortably beat Stranmillis 37th OB 7-1 and 43rd Dundonald turned the form book upside down with a resounding 9-2 win over Queens Grads III. Ards Rangers III maintained their own good start to the season with a 2-1 win over Castlereagh FC 82 to join Ballygowan at the top on points, as did Newtownards RBL, who beat Bangor YM III 3-1. There's now only three points separating the top six teams.

In Division 2A, Greenwell Star II extended their lead at the top following a resounding 8-0 win over Agape II and in Division 2B, Bangor Rangers IV moved up to second place following a 3-0 win over Queens Grads IV.
