Dungannon Swifts 0 Warrenpoint Town 2
Stephen McDonnell said his Warrenpoint Town players have shown their character after overcoming a nightmare start to the season.
The Co Down side are unbeaten in four in the Danske Bank Premiership.
Their resurgence - after opening with six straight defeats - continued at Dungannon Swifts on Saturday.
Ciaran O'Connor's two goals secured a deserved victory. And McDonnell believes their early season troubles have steeled his side.
"We went through a difficult period at the start as a group and I think that has steadied us a wee bit," he said.
"Before we got our first win we took two hidings so we've seen the bad side. Fortunately it has started to turn now.
"We've picked up eight points out of our last 12, so that's a healthy return."
Warrenpoint led after three minutes through O'Connor. He intercepted a poor kick-out and dashed forward, rounding Christopher Hegarty to score.
O'Connor made sure of the points when his penalty hit the post, rebounded and fell invitingly for him to tap home.
