Watch: This spectacular Billy Joe Burns strike is the Irish League's Goal of the Month

Crusaders star Billy Joe Burns may be a defender, but he certainly has an eye for goal, as he proved with the December NIFWA Goal of the Month.

His incredible strike against Linfield at Windsor Park has won the award with his effort to level the scores in a games that Crusaders would go on to win.

It takes something special to beat Roy Carroll and even the international goalkeeper had no chance of keep out this cracker.

Watch it right here:

The goal has helped Crusaders hit the top of the table and left the boss delighted.

“We huffed and puffed a wee bit, but I thought we started to find our touch in the final 15 minutes of the first half," said Stephen Baxter after the game. "The boys got a bit of a roasting at half-time and I got the response I wanted. It was probably the best 45 minutes of football I have ever seen us play."
