McLaughlin out of N Ireland squad

Liverpool defender Ryan McLaughlin has pulled out of Northern Ireland's squad to face Hungary in their opening Euro 2016 qualifier.

The 19-year-old, who has a knee injury, wrote on Twitter: "Gutted I had to pull out of the ni squad injuries always comes at the worst time, hope to be back in a couple of weeks. #NoLuck."

It is the second withdrawal to affect manager Michael O'Neill's preparations after Brentford winger Stuart Dallas pulled out with a leg injury on Tuesday to be replaced by Preston's Andy Little.

O'Neill will cut the squad to 23 before leaving for Budapest and Sunday's Group F clash.
