Michael Smith and Conor Washington receive first Northern Ireland call-ups

Peterborough defender Michael Smith and QPR forward Conor Washington have been called into the Northern Ireland squad for the first time for the upcoming friendlies against Wales and Slovenia.

The pair will be part of the 24-man squad for training ahead of the March 24 clash against Wales at Cardiff City Stadium Slovenia's visit to Windsor Park on March 28.

The games are part of Northern Ireland's preparations for this summer's European Championships in France, where Michael O'Neill's men will face Poland, Ukraine and world champions Germany in the group stages.
